Who are we and what do we do?
We are a sewing club! We sew for ourselves, our community, and our world.
We learn machine sewing skills and make all kinds of things. last year we made aprons, hoodies, stuffed animals, and most importantly, we made teddy bears for the charity Dolls of Hope. They send teddy bears all over the world to kids who have lost their things to war and other catastrophe.
Every June, we also walk the Busy Bee Runway!
We have learned how to thread the sewing machine, sew straight and curved lines, gather using a safety pin, embroidery, measuring, hand sewing, and so much more! We have also learned skills like leadership and teamwork.
Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 4:45 to 6:15pm at Busy Bee Fashion and Art Studio, 51 W Prospect St. Suite 104, East Brunswick- right across from Shop Rite.
